Laura Wortman and Kagey Parrish are the Honey Dewdrops: an award winning, nationally touring husband and wife folk duet who perform fresh, original songs focusing on vocal harmonies and tight instrumentation. He and singing partner, Carmen Nickerson, bring their brand of righteous indie-folk for a night of high-test tunes and tons of fun. Willy’s signature finger-picking guitar work and rich songwriting creates a one-of-a-kind musical ride that has energized audiences all over the world from stages shared with icons such as Jethro Tull, Tori Amos, Paul Simon, and Jeff Beck.
Carmen Nickerson’s soulful vocals and playful singing style pairs exquisitely with Willy’s grooves to produce soaring harmonies that add fresh layers and new depth to Willy’s songs.
The duo is touring in support of Willy’s 2015 release, Human Kindness, a disc that combines Willy’s acoustic, electric, and multi-string chops to bear on a group of songs that explore themes about connection, compassion, and the triumphs and struggles of the human journey. Willy and Carmen also bring new tunes to this tour, co-written by the pair, that feature on an upcoming album produced by Grammy Award-winning producer Ben Wisch (Marc Cohn, Jonatha Brooke), slated for release in the summer of 2016.
